Don't get me wrong, spreadsheets, word processors and presentation software can be used well and properly, but a rash of articles has me wondering if they have not become way too complex. It has long been known that spreadsheets are error prone and can bias users to believing numbers they would otherwise not believe (see this WikiPedia entry). As much as I like blaming Microsoft for things, it applies even to packages like LibreOffice (though Microsoft is clearly king of complexity).
